Saturday  March 1, there was a special program at the Pratt Community College hosted by a group of storm chasers, including some who helped out in Greensburg the night of May 4. Called Project Greensburg, this event showcased a screening of their video Storms of 2007 and featured several guest speakers: Mike Umscheid, the National Weather Service meteorologist who issued the tornado warning for Greensburg; Greg Stumpf, a National Severe Storms Laboratory meteorologist who, in 2004, co-created of the Storms of DVD charity project; and Mickey Ptak, the lead producer of the Storms of 2007 DVD.

Project Greensburg has raised funds that will go toward supporting the Green Initiative in Greensburg , and a check from the storm chasers for $3100 was presented that evening. All future proceeds from the sale their Storms of 2007DVD will also support GreenTown. Greensburg and GreenTown are VERY grateful for this tremendous support. It is making a real difference.
