Meadowlark Construction Progress - Photo Update

The foundation footings were poured this afternoon. This is the first phase of a multi-process foundation and floor slab. Up next will be the foundation stem walls and then floor slab. This is a unique foundation for a house, specifically designed for energy efficiency. I will go into the details of this in a later post. For now, enjoy some progress photos.

Formwork with reinforcing steel re-bar.

The crew works on pouring and smoothing out the concrete.

The foundation and floor slab insulation also arrived today, and there's a lot of it. I will go into more detail as to why we are using so much insulation in a later post.
