Meadowlark Construction Progress - Photo Update

Formwork for the foundation walls is ready to go.

The crew will fill the forms with concrete to a specific height (30 inches) and smooth out the top. The floor slab will lay on top of these walls.

The finished foundation walls receive a 3 inch layer of insulation along the interior perimeter. Another layer will go on the outside of the wall later in the construction.

Plumbing and electrical feeds (called "stub-ups") for the home are laid out at this point as well.

To learn more about the features of Meadowlark House, visit our Chain of Eco-Homes page, or head to our Photo Library to see pictures of the construction progress. You can find previous posts on the project in our Blog Archive.
