U. of Colorado Gears up for Eco-Home Project

This past weekend saw a visit from the architecture class from the University of Colorado with professors Rick Sommerfeld and Rob Pyatt. The students were in town to visit with GreenTown about the Eco-Home they are designing for our Chain of Eco-Homes Project. They started out Saturday with a tour of the community with GreenTown Board Chair Jackie Robertson, and then met with the Eco-Home project managers to lay out plans for their semester. The group will be back in about a month with design plans and to get public feedback on how their model would fit into the community. Any resident who’d like to be involved with this review process is invited to call the office at 723-2790, and we’ll let you know the timetable of this project. We are very pleased that this group has shown such a strong interest in Greensburg and the Green Initiative.

The CU Eco-Home is slated be built on South Sycamore Street, south of the Big Well, and across the street from GreenTown’s Silo Home.
