Our Hearts Have No Bottom

Here's a quote that really seems to capture the spirit of Greensburg: "I would thank you from the bottom of my heart, but for you my heart has no bottom." (author unknown) So much has been given to our community by so many people, with no end, or bottom, in sight.
We are enormously grateful, and as we like to say, "Greensburg is being rebuilt on a foundation of generosity." Every day this foundation is being added to. People from around the world continue to pour into town - to visit, to volunteer, to interview, to photograph, to shop, to dine, to exchange information, and to just say hello. Each person who stops by, for however long, adds their energy to our green rebuilding project.
A typical week might find us giving a tour to a group from Germany, answering questions from a Japanese journalist, hooking a volunteer group from New Jersey up with local needs, receiving cases of green products from a national corporation, reading encouraging comments on our website from an Italian supporter, corresponding with a Danish high school student, or "miking up" to be filmed by the crew from Planet Green. We are happily amazed that church groups from all over Kansas, and throughout the United States, continue to come by the busload to lend a hand, 2-1/2 years after the tornado.
We thank you all. To those of who have taken the time to write, we hope that some day you can make the trip to Greensburg so we can meet you in person. We hope that you all will continue to follow our progress, offer your comments, and ask questions about the Green Initiative. Your support keeps us fueled.
