Corporate Sponsorship Program
Greensburg GreenTown is a nonprofit organization established to provide the residents of Greensburg, Kansas with the resources, information and support they have needed to rebuild the town as a model green community following the May 2007 tornado. Programs undertaken by Greensburg GreenTown are in service to the mission of supporting residents in their efforts to rebuild Greensburg as a model green community, and to inspire and educate the world to build sustainably and live green. While GreenTown is a private nonprofit, it has an official relationship with the City of Greensburg.
Funding is essential to Greensburg GreenTown’s operation and we have been great stewards of our donor support in the last 4-1/2 years. We have helped craft a vision for Greensburg as a model for sustainability, helped frame issues of sustainability and the environment in a non-political way, and encourage and support individuals, businesses and municipalities in Greensburg to build optimally green. We have played a major role in helping the Green Initiative get visibility in the media, provided tours and built relationships with individual and groups coming to town and helped harness hundreds of thousands of dollars of volunteer work and in-kind contributions. All of this has been a vital part of the extraordinary comeback of the town as both an international beacon of hope and a practical model of what is possible in building in an environmentally friendly way. As a community showcasing cutting-edge technologies and practices, and an international focal point of sustainable building, Greensburg offers members an opportunity to champion green living and the innovative efforts of this small town with a big heart. Greensburg GreenTown recognizes different levels of corporate giving:
Copper (Donor Level - $100+)
Sponsors who contribute between $100-499 will receive a subscription to the GreenTown e-newsletter and/or the GreenTown Joplin Report, will be named as a supporter on the Member Recognition page of our website with a link to your company's website and will be listed on our Digital Donor Wall at the Silo Eco-Home Green Visitors Center.
Bronze (Donor Level - $500+)
Sponsors who contribute between $500-999 will receive all the benefits outlined at the Copper level PLUS a 1/4 page display ad in our GreenTour Book as well as a Greensburg GreenTown shopping bag or T-shirt.
Silver (Donor Level – $1000+)
Sponsors who contribute between $1,000-2,499 will receive all the benefits outlined at the Bronze level PLUS a 1/2 page display ad in our GreenTour Book, your company's name displayed (in text) and website linked on the GreenTown Sponsors page of our website as well as 1 night of eco-lodging and a tour of Greensburg for two (as available).
Gold (Donor Level - $2,500+)
Sponsors who contribute between $2,500-4,999 will receive all the benefits outlined at the Silver level PLUS a full page display ad in our GreenTour Book, special acknowledgement in our slide show at the Silo Eco-Home Green Visitors Center.
Platinum (Donor Level – $5,000+)
Sponsors who contribute between $5,000+ will receive all the benefits outlined at the Gold level PLUS your company's Logo featured and website linked on the GreenTown Sponsors page of our website, a full page “Advertorial” feature in our GreenTour Book as well as the opportunity to name a room or feature in one of our Eco-Homes.
